Spats and Cane: Still Learnin’ From Our Mistakes Tour ‘07.

March 7th, 2007 — 12:51am

As we gear up for our highly anticipated shows back in Ohio, Spats and Cane would like to offer the following statement to the public:

The Spats and Cane Promise: We promise to never again kill an animal during a live performance, no matter how powerful the visual illustration. Our deepest apologies to the nitpickers in the audience.

Spats and Cane: Still Learnin’ From Our Mistakes.

And now, some semblence of a press release:

Ohio natives and Malone College alumni, Joe Hartzler and Seth Thomas, are the comedy duo and comedic tour de awesome, Spats and Cane. They believe life is funny and they’re out to prove it, one backhanded compliment at a time.

“Wow, Seth, that is one smart-looking suit. Why, I’d never even guess you were lonely in that clever ensemble.” “Thanks, Joe. And might I say you’re managing to hide your neck fat especially well tonight.”

After touring the country with the popular Christian improv comedy team, Isaac Improv, Joe and Seth returned to Malone where they founded the sketch team, The Yellow Light Runners. Hijinx ensued, but soon the joke would be on them, as life forced them to graduate college and attempt to find a practical application for their Media Communication degrees. Of course, this was impossible, so they did the next best thing: They moved to California to try and make it in Hollywood. They’ve since been featured at the World Famous Comedy Store on the Sunset Strip, and have performed in churches, camps, colleges, conferences, and living rooms around the country, serving up their piping hot blend of sketch and improv comedy. And now, they return to their roots to prove to their skeptical parents that they have what it takes to earn they’re approval. Join us for a night of hilarity as Spats and Cane prove, once again, that “family friendly” doesn’t have to mean unicycles and felt boards.

Spats and Cane: Vying for your attention since 1981.
